There is still time to book tickets to enjoy a performance of this year’s pantomime at Clacton’s Princes Theatre.
Anton Benson Production’s Aladdin is currently on stage at the venue, with performances taking place until Monday, 1 January, 2024.
This includes a special relaxed performance on Thursday, 28 December at 2pm, with no flashing lights, complete darkness or pyrotechnics – and this show also has a British Sign Language interpreter.
This year’s fairytale stars EastEnders actor ‘Nasty Nick’ John Altman as Abanaza, with Cleopatra Higgins from the band Cleopatra as the Princess Jasmine, local entertainer Graeme Matthews – better known to many as Bam Bam – as Wishee Wally.
Also in the stellar cast are Philip Day as the Dame and Josh Patel-Foster as Aladdin, Laura Curnick as Spirit Of The Ring.
The relaxed performance is adapted for those audience members that require a different, more casual, experience from their visit to the theatre.
Lee Heley, Corporate Director for Place and Economy at Tendring District Council – which runs the Princes Theatre – said: “Aladdin is proving hugely popular with audiences, as both the loud cheering and five-star reviews attest – and we don’t want anyone to miss out.
“Tickets for all performances continue to sell fast so I’d encourage you to book yours now for a show packed with fun for all of the family, making it a great activity to enjoy during the school holidays.”
Tickets £16 (£15 concessions), or £56 for family of four – with discounts for schools and group bookings – plus booking fees. To book visit www.princestheatre.co.uk or call the box office on 01255 686633 (option 1).
