The Colchester & Tendring Stop Smoking Support Service is a free NHS service offering practical help, support and advice for people who want to stop smoking. The qualified, specialist support they offer combined with treatment such as nicotine patches and gum can be up to 4 times more effective than will power along when giving up smoking. They can be contacted on 0800 731 2656.
You can also call the national NHS Smoking Helpline on 0800 022 4 332. All lines are open Monday to Friday 9am to 8pm and Saturday and Sunday 11am to 5pm.
