Our Beaches are open to horse riders, but the following local byelaw is in place, which you should be aware of:
'No person shall on the Seashore break in any horse or other animal or ride or drive any horse or other animal in a race or so as to cause danger or annoyance to any person during the Seashore.'
In order not to cause danger or annoyance to other beach users:
• Do not ride your horse when beaches are busy
• Restrict riding to quiet times and at low water
• Do not race horses
