Horse Beach Access

Our Beaches are open to horse riders, but the following local byelaw is in place, which you should be aware of:

'No person shall on the Seashore break in any horse or other animal or ride or drive any horse or other animal in a race or so as to cause danger or annoyance to any person during the Seashore.'

In order not to cause danger or annoyance to other beach users:
•        Do not ride your horse when beaches are busy
•        Restrict riding to quiet times and at low water
•        Do not race horses

Local riders have adopted their own code of conduct for riding on the beach.  This is a link to their page:
