Our Accommodation Officer, who works within our Housing Solutions Team, is keen to hear from you if you are a private landlord or local letting agent. We are looking for suitable and affordable accommodation for families or individuals in the private rented sector. Our aim is to support you, as landlords and agents, to give you greater confidence in letting your properties to those that need housing, as well as offering you a dedicated point of contact within the Council throughout the tenancy term.
Our long term aim is to prevent homelessness, and ensure tenant sustainability. With this in mind we would normally be looking for rentals priced around the Local Housing Allowance for the Tendring District area, however we will consider properties that are offering a different rent level. The majority of families and individuals we help are supported financially with either first month’s rent and/or deposits.
You will need to have complied with the Right to Rent scheme and the How to Rent guidance. We may also check or ask for proof of ownership, especially if you are a private landlord managing your own properties. We can't offer and manage or lease properties on your behalf.
If you do have a property available for let, any size considered, then please get in touch with the Accommodation Officer by filling out the contact form. Alternatively you can send an email to: landlordenquiries@tendringdc.gov.uk
We look forward to working with you and making a difference to the residents of Tendring who are in need.
