How does the Council manage its land?

The Council’s Housing stock, garages and related land is managed by the Housing team within our Operational Services Department.

Day to day management of other properties is carried out by other services.

Offices & Depots - Facilities Management, Operational Services

Beaches - Seafronts Section, Operational Services

Open Spaces - Public Realm, Operational Services

Public Conveniences - Public Realm, Operational Services

Car Parks - Public Realm, Operational Services

Business & Starter Units - Regeneration Service

The high level policy for managing our non-housing is the Capital Strategy and Asset Management Plan. It sets the high level management arrangements and processes.

The Property Strategy aims to address in more detail what we aim to achieve with different kinds of properties and the Property Programme sets some objectives for different parts of the district and some specific projects.
