Annual Canvass 2024

Every year we are required by law to contact all households within the district to check who is eligible to register to vote

Not all households will receive the same form. Your household will receive either of the following 2 letters:

• A lilac letter which will confirm the details of all registered electors at your address - you need to respond if this information needs to be updated. If all the details are correct you do not need to respond to the confirmation letter.

Or;

• A white canvass communication will be sent to any household not matched by local and national records, which you are legally required to respond to.

Please note

• The forms are addressed to ‘The Occupier’ and not to an individual.
• An eligible resident that needs to be added to a form will also need to register to vote. They can do this by going online at www.gov.uk/register-to-vote
