Advice about property or neighbour dispute

We cannot offer you property, legal or other advice. We can tell you about our own land but if you need advice on what this means you must seek your own professional advice.

This is because of potential conflict of interest: We have to represent the interest of the Council to the best of our ability. Sometimes this may mean that the Council's interests do not coincide with yours.

For independent property advice it may be helpful to contact a local chartered surveyor. You can do this using local directories looking for the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors. Alternatively the RICS provide an online Find a Surveyor service.

For independent legal advice it may be helpful to contact a local solicitor. You can do this using local directories looking for the Law Society. Alternatively the Law Society provides an online Find a Solicitor service.
