The purpose for this processing

To maintain a log of all corporate complaints, correspondence and queries received and manage the sending of responses.

Legal basis for this processing

Article 6 Lawfulness of Processing (Section 1, (e)):

Processing is necessary for the purposes of the performance of a task carried out in the public interest or in the exercise of official authority vested in the controller.

What data do we collect about you

Data as supplied.  These may include:

  • Name
  • Address
  • E-mail address
  • Telephone number
  • Any other information provided by the correspondent or complainant which may be personal in nature.

How long do we collect your personal data

5 years in accordance with the Council’s Corporate Retention Schedule.

Who we share your data with

We may share your information with:

  • Relevant internal officers and departments
  • External third-party agencies (including other Local Authorities) if applicable and where appropriate to the content of the complaint or correspondence.

  • Individuals (data subjects)
  • Complainants
