The purpose for this processing

To collect and process information in relation to complaints, received by the public, to facilitate investigations of alleged misconduct by councillors elected to represent the District, Town and Parish councils within the Tendring area.

Article 6 Lawfulness of Processing (Section 1, (e)):

Processing is necessary for the performance of a task carried out in the public interest or in the exercise of official authority vested in the controller.

What data do we collect about you

Personal details as required.  These may include:

  • Name
  • Address
  • E-mail address
  • Telephone number

How long do we collect your personal data

2 years in accordance with the Council’s Corporate Retention Schedule.

Who we share your data with

We will share relevant information with those persons and third parties forming an independent investigation panel.

The individual(s) making the complaint.
