The purpose for this processing

The Council will use the information submitted to promote Clacton’s 150th anniversary and the history of Clacton and give residents the opportunity to contribute by publishing their memories.

The information would be retained for a minimum of ten years and then to preserve the historical significance offered to the Essex Records Office for future generations to enjoy. The information will be retained by the Essex Records Office and used for a non-specific period due to its historical value.
