An enchanting pantomime with magnificent 3D special effects at Clacton’s Princes Theatre has been receiving stellar reviews – and there’s still time to secure your tickets for this spellbinding show.

Audiences have been captivated by the early performances of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, and those who haven’t yet booked are urged to do so before the magic ends.

The professional pantomime, brought to life by the new provider Shone Productions, is dazzling audiences at the Tendring District Council-run (TDC) theatre until 29 December.

Gary Scott, TDC’s Cabinet Member for Arts, Culture and Heritage, expressed his delight at the glowing reviews for the production.

"The entire pantomime cast and the Princes Theatre staff have done an outstanding job, and these reviews are a testament to their hard work and dedication in delivering a top-notch pantomime.

The pantomime adaptation of the Brothers Grimm classic tale features evil stepmothers, poisoned apples, and tales of treachery and loyalty as the beautiful Snow White and her seven friends from the enchanted forest attempt to defeat the Wicked Queen.

The title role is played by Urdang Academy graduate Ellis Lloyd, while Clacton’s very own Danny Lee Grew, an acclaimed magician, returns to his hometown in the role of Muddles.

There will also be a special guest appearance via pre-recorded video by CBBC’s Hacker T. Dog as the Magic Mirror.

Special performances include a relaxed performance on Thursday, 19 December, at 6pm, and a British Sign Language (BSL) performance on Sunday, 15 December, at 3.30pm, as well as a one-off adults-only show on Saturday, 28 December, at 8pm.
