There is still time to nominate brilliant young people for the 2025 Tendring Youth Awards.
The ninth Tendring Youth Awards will shine a spotlight on the amazing accomplishments of young individuals who live, study, or work in the area.
With the nomination deadline approaching on Thursday, April 17, there's still time to put forward the young stars in your life before the dazzling gala awards evening at Clacton's Princes Theatre in July.
This year’s sponsors include Harwich Haven Authority, which is back as the headline sponsor for the sixth year, Nantmor Blinds, the Princes Theatre, Aquinas Provisions, and Haltermann Carless, with additional support from Tendring District Council and Essex County Council.
The categories recognise achievements in academics, inspirational caring, community work, and environmental efforts, among others, while nominations are welcome for individuals or groups, such as youth organisations.
A panel of judges will review the nominations after the deadline and compile a shortlist of finalists.
Karen O’Connor, Chairwoman of the Tendring Youth Awards, said deserving youngsters can only be recognised for their achievements if they are nominated.
“We’ve seen some truly inspiring nominations so far, but we know there are many more outstanding young individuals in our area who deserve recognition,” she said.
“Our local young people are exceptional, and it’s important that we highlight their achievements.
“The judges can only evaluate the nominations they receive, so we urge everyone to nominate the remarkable young people they know, work with, or volunteer alongside.
“There’s no limit to how many nominations you can submit, so let’s make sure every deserving young person gets a chance to be celebrated.”
