Business Manager

Are you looking for an exciting opportunity to make a difference in local government? If so, we are looking for a Business Manager to work closely with our Corporate and Assistant Directors to assist in meeting excellent service delivery in a fast moving public facing operational environment and to lead a newly formed Finance and Admin Team.  

The role will also assist in the development, maintenance and implementation of strategies and policy in collaboration with Senior Managers and Members against a backdrop of regulatory change.  This also involves working collaboratively with colleagues across the organisation and externally, to ensure best practice can be achieved when implementing new ways of working and in the delivery of specific projects.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Good administration and organisational skills
• A flexible “can do” attitude
• Minimum 3 years people management experience
• Effective budget and financial management skills
