Tendring District Council has successfully secured Government funding for the delivery of a new Civic Quarter for Clacton.
Working closely with our partners Essex County Council, the site of Carnarvon House and the town library will see: a new and improved library and learning space; community spaces; University of Essex Centre for Coastal Communities; new homes; creation of new units for entrepreneurs and improvements to the multi-storey car park. The Council has now successfully procured an industry-leading design team to deliver exciting and transformational improvements to the site of Carnarvon House. Over the coming weeks and months, the council and partners will be developing the detailed brief and designs for delivering new housing and facilities on site.
