Access to the Walton-on-the-Naze beach is by the Naze tower café. Once you have made your way on to the lower promenade, follow the sea defences towards Harwich and gain access via the steps.
The Naze is located just North of Walton on the Naze in North East Essex. Access by mainline railway connection from
London and Ipswich. Bus service from Frinton on Sea and Clacton on Sea. Access via road from the South from
London and Colchester via A12, A120, A133 and B1034.
The Naze beach sits below the Naze cliffs. Above this the Naze Tower, a historical landmark, can be found alongside the Naze Nature Reserve.
Vehicular access is not available on the promenade but can be accessed via the steps down from the Naze car park. There is a slope located off sunny point which also allows access to this section of promenade.
The beach is access via Crags Walk, a path that was installed to act as a sea defence to help protect against cliff erosion.
Beach goers should take in to account the tides whilst on the beach. For those that walk too far after the change of tide (low-high) could find themselves cut off from their way back to the promenade. In an emergency, call 999 and ask for the coastguard.
There are public toilets available by the Essex Wildlife Trust Naze Nature Discovery Centre. These are managed by the Essex Wildlife Trust.
There is a café located at the top of the Naze cliff by the Naze Tower and the car park.
Dogs are not allowed on the beach from May to September with the exception of Guide Dogs.
