This Economic Growth post is crucial in supporting the growth and development of the district’s businesses and assisting them to realise their full potential by providing businesses with targeted information, advice and guidance and in promoting opportunities across the district in support of the Council’s Economic Development Strategy, and its wider growth and regeneration programme. 

The post holder will support the Creative and Cultural Strategy in relation to regeneration and skills, and develop and implement projects that respond to the aims and objectives of the Council’s Corporate Policy as these relate to the economic growth of the district.

You will also be required to liaise with landowners, businesses and commercial developers to secure the timely and appropriate development of the district’s principal employment sites and will work with partners to secure the investment necessary to attract new businesses to the district.

The successful candidate will be required to work intelligently with colleagues across the Council and with external partners, to align services in order to provide a comprehensive and complimentary business support service and to support the regeneration of the district.
