The organising committee of the Tendring Youth Awards is inviting people and partners to attend its annual general meeting.
Being held at Clacton Town Hall from 5pm on Tuesday, 19 April, the AGM is an opportunity for people to learn more about the awards and get involved.
This year will see the sixth Tendring Youth Awards, sponsored by Harwich Haven Authority, and nominations are currently open to recognise brilliant young people – and adults who support them.
Nominations can be made online on the Tendring Youth Awards web page or by requesting a form and submitting it to email@example.com – alternatively you do this by post at: Tendring Youth Awards (Nominations), Town Hall, Clacton, CO15 1SE.
Although supported by the sponsors, Tendring District Council and Essex County Council, the Tendring Youth Awards is run by an independent committee and relies on volunteers to run.
Karen O’Connor, Chairwoman of the Tendring Youth Awards, invited people along to the AGM.
“As well as being an important part of how we run as an organisation, the AGM is a chance for people to learn more about how we work, look at sponsorship options, and get involved,” she said.
“Our mission has always been to celebrate the amazing young people of Tendring, across a wide range of achievements, and we’re always looking for help to do that – whether it’s by spreading the word, making nominations, helping out on the night to make it a really special event for the finalists, or year-round with the organisation.
“So please come along, show your support, and if you’re willing then join in too!”
