A friendly coffee morning with tea, coffee, cakes and enjoyable creative activities for all ages, to launch “Sundream: A Summer of Creativity” at Jaywick Martello Tower hosted by theatre director Sofia Bagge and scriptwriter Molly Anne Sweeney from Wise Ram Theatre. Sundream is a programme of creative activities taking place in Jaywick and Clacton throughout the summer of 2025. Including monologue writing course, acting workshops for adults as well as the creation of a brand new play! Want to learn how to write plays? This is the first of two workshops in Jaywick run by scriptwriter Molly Anne Sweeney, exploring how to craft a monologue for the stage inspired by your local surroundings - no experience is necessary. As part of this course 2 writers will have a chance to hear their work performed by professional actors at a Celebration Event at Jaywick Martello Tower on 13th September. Russells International Circus is celebrating it's 20th Anniversary with a brand-new show for 2025. With breath taking acrobatics, jaw-dropping stunts and aerial displays, this two hour spectacular is suitable for all ages. Children under 2 can attend free. Families, children, and adults are welcome. There is disabled access, toilets, baby changing, a shop, and a café/refreshments. The displays are free to attend. There will also be a chance to decorate your own kites to fly and keep for £8 per kite with our kite workshops which will be running both days. Ardleigh & District Horticultural Society are hosting the Ardleigh Annual Flower & Produce Show on Saturday 16th August 2025, at Ardleigh Village Hall, Station Road, Ardleigh (CO7 7RS). Imperial Birds of Prey Academy bring their informative and fun show to The Naze, capturing your attention and imagination. Covering a wide range of topics that include conservation, habitat, diet, adaptations and biology and giving you the opportunity to be up close and personal with these magnificent birds. This is a 2 hour talk with a 15-minute Q and A/ tea break in the middle. The first half of the talk will be showcasing the animals- getting them close to visitors, and the second half is more 'action' related- birds flying over the top of peoples heads, mammals running on the floor etc.
