Sundream: Drop-in Coffee Morning & Launch Event
A friendly coffee morning with tea, coffee, cakes and enjoyable creative activities for all ages, to launch “Sundream: A Summer of Creativity” at Jaywick Martello Tower hosted by theatre director Sofia Bagge and scriptwriter Molly Anne Sweeney from Wise Ram Theatre. Sundream is a programme of creative activities taking place in Jaywick and Clacton throughout the summer of 2025. Including monologue writing course, acting workshops for adults as well as the creation of a brand new play! Sundream: Monologue Writing Course
Want to learn how to write plays? This is the first of two workshops in Jaywick run by scriptwriter Molly Anne Sweeney, exploring how to craft a monologue for the stage inspired by your local surroundings - no experience is necessary. As part of this course 2 writers will have a chance to hear their work performed by professional actors at a Celebration Event at Jaywick Martello Tower on 13th September. Imperial Birds of Prey Academy bring their informative and fun show to The Naze, capturing your attention and imagination. Covering a wide range of topics that include conservation, habitat, diet, adaptations and biology and giving you the opportunity to be up close and personal with these magnificent birds. This is a 2 hour talk with a 15-minute Q and A/ tea break in the middle. The first half of the talk will be showcasing the animals- getting them close to visitors, and the second half is more 'action' related- birds flying over the top of peoples heads, mammals running on the floor etc.
