Tendring Careline currently provides a 24/7 365 response service to vulnerable people in need of assistance.
We are pleased to be offering an additional lifting service to help lift uninjured people from the floor, therefore removing the requirement for an ambulance to attend.
The post holder will be trained by the ambulance service to conduct a full body injury assessment, and risk assessment.
The post holder will be required to attend emergency response calls, carry out full body assessments, risk assessments and if appropriate use special lifting equipment to convey the person from the floor in to a comfortable position.
You will required to cover the control centre as necessary.. You must have moderate keyboard, IT skills and excellent communication skills. Be able to provide a professional service, demonstrating empathy for the customer when establishing the reason for their call. You will be required to confidently escalate as appropriate to a number of services including the Emergency services, Doctors, carers, contacts and family members.
The Post Holder Must: Be a real people person who's brilliant at engaging with people face to face as well as on the telephone. Have a talent for making customers feel special. Have a genuine interest in communication technology.

You will be an approachable and empathetic person who is flexible, committed and reliable. Experience working with vulnerable people would be an advantage though not essential for the right person. A full driving licence will be required. A pool van will be provided.
An enhanced DBS check will be carried out for this role.
