Step one - Boxes are delivered to the count venue
Step two - Boxes are then sorted ready for Verification
Step three - Verification - This is where the number of ballots in the box are checked to ensure the correct amount has arrived
Step four - Mixing - Verified boxes are mixed together and then sent to the count tables
Step five - Counting - In this phase, the ballots are sorted into candidates and then counted
Step six - Declaration - Once all tables have been counted and confirmed, the Returning Officer will declare the result
