Cub Scouts and their leaders from across Tendring have been treated to an afternoon tea to reward them for their many badge achievements.
The event was hosted in the Chairman’s Parlour by Tendring District Council (TDC) Chairman Jayne Chapman, and a tour of the Princes Theatre was also included.
Cllr Chapman said she was delighted to host the event.
“I attended the Cub Scouts’ Promise Party last year and I was so impressed with the amount of badges earned by the Cub Scouts, ranging from Animal Carer to Global Conservation to Water Activities.”
“A visit to the Chairman’s Parlour and a tour of the Princes Theatre was just something small I could do for them and it’s been a pleasure to host the Cub Scouts and their Leaders.”
Kai Aberdeen, Theatre Manager (Technical) at the Princes Theatre said the visit was part of the theatre’s on-going programme of involving the community in its activities and facilities.
“It’s always good to be able to explain some of the more technical aspects of the Theatre and demonstrate some of the specialist equipment we have.”
Any school, group or organisation wanting a free tour of the Princes should contact the Theatre team on 01255 686653.
