Hopes of knocking down stables, a garage, store and mobile home to be replaced with a new property have been dashed.
Tendring District Council (TDC) has refused planning consent for the bungalow scheme at the back of a house in Clacton Road, Weeley Heath.
Two previous similar applications on the site have also been refused by the Council.
In terms of the latest application TDC decided that the adverse impact on the character of the locality – due to size and backland nature - is not outweighed by any benefits of the development.
Weeley Parish Council objected to the application and TDC received one letter of representation.
