The energetic theme Sport for All will encourage the public to don their trainers and dive into a variety of sporting experiences including cricket, football, rugby, archery and table tennis. For those seeking a thrill, a climbing wall will offer a chance to reach new heights, while a surfboard simulator will test balance and coordination. Join us for a spectacular display of large kites from East Anglian Kite Flyers. https://www.eastangliankiteflyers.org.uk/gallery.shtml(link is external) The kite festival weekend will be held on Saturday 26/07/2025 and Sunday 27/07/2025. 10am- 4pm each day. Families, children, and adults are welcome. There is disabled access, toilets, baby changing, a shop, and a café/refreshments. The displays are free to attend. There will also be a chance to decorate your own kites to fly and keep for £8 per kite with our kite workshops which will be running both days. Ardleigh & District Horticultural Society are hosting the Ardleigh Annual Flower & Produce Show on Saturday 16th August 2025, at Ardleigh Village Hall, Station Road, Ardleigh (CO7 7RS). Open to the public from 14:00, with prizes presented at 16:15. There are classes for Vegetables, Fruit, Flowers, Dahlias, Flower Arranging, Homemade Wine, Cookery, Handicraft, Photographs and Children’s Craft exhibits. Refreshments are available. Imperial Birds of Prey Academy bring their informative and fun show to The Naze, capturing your attention and imagination. Covering a wide range of topics that include conservation, habitat, diet, adaptations and biology and giving you the opportunity to be up close and personal with these magnificent birds. This is a 2 hour talk with a 15-minute Q and A/ tea break in the middle. The first half of the talk will be showcasing the animals- getting them close to visitors, and the second half is more 'action' related- birds flying over the top of peoples heads, mammals running on the floor etc.
