Taking place on Saturday 6th of July and Sunday 7th of July from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm, Open Gardens presents event Harwich Town Secret Gardens. Harwich is an old town with house fronts to the street, gardens and yards often hidden from view. Harwich Town Secret Gardens is in its 13th year and will have a very large number of hidden gardens and courtyards open, with some new to the scheme and some old ones resting. All the gardens are easily reachable on foot. We are also winners of Pride of Tendring 2018. WAM Festival - Celebrating 15 years of We are Music

A celebration of musical talent and community spirit will come together on Saturday 6 July at the WAM15 charity music festival. Hosted in a circus big top at the beautiful Hamford View site, the event marks 15 years of the We Are Music (WAM) charity working to support and showcase young musical talent. Festivities kick off at 12 pm, with a jam-packed line-up of local bands and artists who have passed through WAM's programmes over the last 15 years. Expect reformations of old bands, jam sessions with artists that have been supported by WAM and Get Known as well as today's fresh young talent nurtured by the charity. Some artists have won National Competitions and even played the Royal Albert Hall. Bands include DOUBLE TROUBLE,SPECS, DYNAMITES, AMBER,VOYAGE, WAM JAM, GREEBO Alongside diverse musical acts on the main stage, WAM15 offers a real festival atmosphere with a circus workshop and various side shows, local food vendors, and a beer tent. Set against the tranquil Hamford Water, families and music-lovers of all ages are welcomed to soak up the community spirit and join the fun.

Join Watercolour Artist, Vivien McGuinness, for a relaxed, friendly, fun-filled morning. Learn to use watercolour in an exciting, experimental way. Everyone is welcome and no previous experience is necessary. However, if you want to add to existing skills you are most welcome. Vivien will guide you through painting techniques, giving colour and composition tips that can be used to create your own painting of the sea shore.
